Salary: $177,000–$230,000

What you will do

• Research and prototype new blockchain features including Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain bridges, and DeFi protocols.
• Design and implement secure, scalable blockchain solutions integrated with the core platform infrastructure.
• Represent company interests and provide technical feedback to blockchain foundations regarding protocol design and tooling.
• Partner with product, engineering, and security teams to define technical requirements for blockchain initiatives.
• Mentor and guide engineers on blockchain implementations and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging protocols and industry developments to inform architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend development experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience in the blockchain ecosystem, preferably with 4+ years in blockchain development.
• Strong knowledge of consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in microservices architecture and API design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Must be able to work from the New York City office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with institutional DeFi, staking protocols, or custody solutions.
• Understanding of MPC, multi-signature wallets, and smart contract security best practices.
• Familiarity with AI tools for programming.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
