TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Fintech): Designing, developing, and delivering scalable software modules and components for the AI Transformation team with an accent on backend systems and database management. Location: You will work in-office at least three days per week at our Fort Lee, New Jersey headquarters.

Salary: $170,000.00 - $210,000.00

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deliver scalable software modules and components.
• Build backend systems using C#, Python, and JavaScript/TypeScript, with databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Server, and infrastructure including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Plan, triage, and structure work across multiple priorities.
• Focus on understanding technology solutions applicable to a given scenario for both short-term and long-term success with a maintainable, sustainable mindset.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing enterprise systems in modern, current object-oriented languages, with at least 4+ years of C#.
• 6+ years of experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
• Experience working with AI assistive and agentic code generation (e.g. Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor).
• Experience with database persistence frameworks (e.g. nHibernate, Entity Framework).
• Strong communication skills for distilling ambiguous business or technical requirements.
• Cloud Architecture experience, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Docker / Containers.

Nice to have

• Financial industry / accounting experience or understanding.
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and event driven architecture.
• Experience with MassTransit or NServiceBus, RabbitMQ, and Idempotency.
