What you will do

• Design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs to power clinical product experiences.
• Lead full-lifecycle technical delivery from architecture and design to deployment and operations.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS using IaC and container orchestration.
• Collaborate with product, design, and computational biology teams to simplify complex laboratory information system workflows.
• Implement robust observability patterns, monitoring, and logging to ensure system health.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows to enhance code quality, automate routine tasks, and accelerate troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and web frameworks like Django and FastAPI.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS) including ECS, S3, and Lambda.
• Deep understanding of domain-driven design and complex system architecture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary team environments.
• Must be excited about working in-person at our Menlo Park office.

Nice to have

• Experience with React and TypeScript.
• Previous exposure to AI-driven development practices.
• Experience working in regulated medical or clinical diagnostics environments.
