What you will do

• Own availability architecture across compute, network, storage, and app tiers to maintain 99.9% uptime.
• Design fault domains, graceful degradation strategies, and recovery models to minimize blast radius.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices to ensure consistent, scalable deployment patterns.
• Define performance budgets, SLOs, and capacity planning metrics to inform system reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering and CloudOps teams to troubleshoot and remediate production issues.
• Act as the technical authority, providing reference architectures and guidance to improve developer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience as a Platform, Solutions, or System Design Architect or Senior DevOps Engineer.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Strong knowledge of system design principles: fault tolerance, capacity planning, and dependency isolation.
• Experience leading technical design reviews and cross-team architectural initiatives.
• Must be authorized to work and currently based in the US or Canada.
