Salary: $149,578–$219,381 per year in the US; Canadian range of $120,500–$170,500 per year is also listed.

What you will do

• Design and evolve an on-premises SaaS platform consisting of web services, application servers, databases, and distributed microservices.
• Own availability architecture across compute, network, storage, data, and application tiers to exceed 99.9% service availability.
• Design fault domains, placement strategies, graceful degradation, capacity headroom, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
• Drive infrastructure as code, GitOps, progressive deployment models, automated rollback, and CI/CD improvements.
• Embed security by design through zero-trust networking, mTLS, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
• Establish observability, incident-response readiness, failure testing, automated remediation, and platform standards for engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience as a platform, solutions, or systems architect, software engineer, senior DevOps engineer, or in a similar role.
• Proven experience designing distributed systems with emphasis on availability, scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Expertise in microservices architecture, API design, and service-to-service communication patterns.
• Strong knowledge of fault tolerance, capacity planning, dependency isolation, and failure handling.
• Experience contributing to architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and cross-team initiatives, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
