Salary: $96,400–$142,660 CAD (Ontario), $108,900–$161,160 (California), $98,100–$145,200 (Illinois) per year

What you will do

• Design, architect, and support back-end services running in AWS.
• Develop and integrate new technologies and tools.
• Load-test, benchmark, and optimize infrastructure.
• Define, architect, and develop features and gameplay functionality in PHP.
• Maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Provide escalation support and infrastructure monitoring.

Requirements

• Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with cloud computing (preferably AWS).
• Experience maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Experience with PHP.
• Strong familiarity and experience with database systems (SQL, NoSQL).

Nice to have

• Prior game development experience.
• Experience with Chef, Terraform, and/or Jenkins.
• Experience in Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks.
• Experience migrating monolithic architectures to distributed microservices.
