What you will do

• Drive predictable, milestone-based delivery of product outcomes across multiple teams.
• Manage and develop 4-6 engineering managers and staff engineers to increase leadership depth.
• Make strategic architectural and platform decisions to simplify systems and reduce legacy friction.
• Establish governance and ROI targets for AI-assisted engineering tools to boost velocity and efficiency.
• Align engineering roadmaps with business objectives through strong cross-functional partnership.
• Maintain cost discipline while ensuring system reliability and high performance standards.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the United States.
• Proven experience leading engineering organizations through phases of growth, scale, or transformation.
• Strong track record of managing engineering managers or multiple distributed teams (overseeing 15+ engineers).
• Architectural and systems design fluency with a focus on balancing speed and long-term technical quality.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and raise performance standards.
• Experience managing vendors and external partners to meet delivery and quality expectations.

Nice to have

• Experience leading large-scale platform migrations or refactors.
• Background in SaaS or marketplace environments.
• Experience implementing and scaling AI-assisted engineering tooling.
