Commercial Counsel (SaaS): Leading in-house legal operations for a high-growth PropTech company with an accent on enterprise contract negotiation, risk management, and building legal infrastructure. Location: Must be based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK; role is hybrid, based in the Manchester office.
Salary: £65,000–£75,000 (FTE pro-rata).

What you will do
- Negotiate enterprise customer contracts, supplier agreements, and NDAs.
- Manage and update T&Cs, Data Processing Agreements, and privacy policies.
- Develop and own a contract playbook and clause library for the Sales team.
- Provide daily commercial risk guidance to Sales and Operations leadership.
- Support enterprise client onboarding and oversee relationships with external counsel.
- Define and scale the company’s legal risk appetite as the business grows.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 5–8 years of PQE in commercial or technology law.
- Solid experience with SaaS agreements, enterprise contracts, and GDPR/UK GDPR compliance.
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
- Practical, commercial mindset with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex legal risk into plain language.
Nice to have
- Previous in-house legal experience at a technology or SaaS company.
- Proven track record of building contract templates and playbooks from scratch.
- Familiarity with enterprise procurement processes and buying-side contract positions.
