What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of senior ML scientists focused on credit risk, pricing, and utilisation models.
• Drive the development of automated decisioning systems to improve business outcomes and customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership in Credit Strategy, Product, and Engineering to define roadmaps.
• Oversee model governance, validation, and performance monitoring in a regulated financial environment.
• Spearhead the development of internal tooling and MLOps methodologies to accelerate model deployment.
• Represent the team in external partnerships and peer collaborations within the credit industry.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK or willing to relocate with provided visa sponsorship.
• Extensive experience in the credit industry with deep knowledge of regulations and data applications.
• Strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, and statistical modelling.
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end credit risk model lifecycles from scoping to monitoring.
• Experience mentoring and coaching senior individual contributors.
• Successful management of complex projects involving multiple senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
• Knowledge of PyData stack and MLOps tools.
• Familiarity with model governance practices in a highly regulated sector.
