TL;DR

Sales Development Representative (Pharma): Identifying, engaging, and developing new sales opportunities through proactive outreach to prospective customers with an accent on creating foundational relationships that translate into strategic partnerships and business growth. Focus on executing sophisticated lead generation campaigns and leveraging AI tools to streamline workflow and refine message resonance.

Location: Hybrid with hubs in San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago. Some roles can be performed from anywhere in the country, others are scoped to a specific region.

Salary: $24 - $33 USD hourly base pay. This position is also eligible for commissions and equity awards.

What you will do

  • Partner with Sales stakeholders to understand target accounts and the value Mavens bring to their challenges.
  • Execute sophisticated lead generation campaigns, including coordination of introductory meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Translate strategic outreach into tangible, qualified opportunities that drive pipeline progression.
  • Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) tools and other sales technology to streamline or automate aspects of your workflow.
  • Maintain an understanding of targeting outreach that converts into real, high-quality opportunities for sellers.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years of experience in an SDR or BDR domain demonstrating the ability to quickly grasp complex technical and industry concepts.
  • Strong foundational knowledge in top-of-funnel sales and outbound prospecting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • A genuine passion for sales, relationship building, and achieving ambitious goals.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology, including AI/GenAI tools, to streamline, automate, or enhance lead generation and research activities.
  • A proactive and analytical understanding of targeted outreach strategies that demonstrably convert into high-quality, actionable opportunities for sellers.

Nice to have

  • Experience in prospecting or generating leads for medical affairs and commercial teams within the pharma industry.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesloft, and/or Qualified.io.
