What you will do

• Identify, research, and report on key developments in the global LNG freight market.
• Develop and maintain in-house models to analyze ton-mile demand, implications for freight and freight rates, vessel utilization, and trade patterns.
• Produce actionable insights through reports, articles, and commentary on LNG freight trends.
• Track commissioning, scraping, upgrading activities as well as conversions to FSRUs across the entire LNG fleet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance hirify.global’s LNG freight market coverage.
• Actively engage with stakeholders, including clients, media, and industry participants, to promote research and market insights.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience analyzing and modelling freight markets, commodity markets, or the shipping industry.
• Proficient in analysing complex datasets, with advanced skills in Excel and data handling.
• Have coding experience with tools/languages such as SQL, Python, or VBA.
• Knowledge of global LNG supply-demand fundamentals and their interaction with freight markets.
• Possess a strong understanding of LNG shipping, including vessel types, route economics, and trade flows.
• Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
