Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to the Netherlands (Eindhoven), Belgium (Leuven), Portugal (Porto), or the UK (Bristol). Relocation to the Netherlands (Eindhoven) is explicitly supported.

What you will do

• Support the full physical design lifecycle including synthesis, floorplanning, place and route, and extraction.
• Perform timing analysis, optimization, and apply clock tree synthesis (CTS) techniques.
• Integrate essential IPs such as memories, I/Os, and embedded processors.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Tcl, or Bash to streamline design flows.
• Collaborate with architecture, RTL, and verification teams to debug and resolve physical design issues.
• Utilize industry-standard EDA tools including Fusion Compiler, Primetime, and Calibre.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in physical design or a related ASIC engineering discipline.
• BSc or MSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Solid understanding of the ASIC design flow from RTL to GDS.
• Demonstrable experience with EDA tools like Fusion Compiler, Innovus, or Primetime.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python and Tcl.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Nice to have

• Experience with device physics, SPICE simulation, or analogue design.
• Strong interest in AI hardware or computer architecture.
