Digital Physical Design Intern (P&R)

TL;DR

Digital Physical Design Intern (P&R): Supporting the digital backend flow from synthesis to GDS2 with an accent on tool experimentation and RTL optimization. Focus on improving flow efficiency and quality through deep study of Cadence tools and script development.

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Phoenix Metro area (Arizona), with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Chandler office.

What you will do

• Understand and execute existing digital backend flows using Cadence tools.
• Support parallel runs to experiment with RTL implementations and tool options.
• Analyze tool manuals and forums to suggest improvements to existing scripts.
• Collaborate with an experienced team to find area-optimal solutions.
• Contribute to the overall quality and efficiency of the backend design process.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (MSEE) with relevant coursework in Digital Design, RTL, or backend flows.
• Willingness to relocate to the Phoenix Metro area for the internship duration.
• Ability to work on-site in the Chandler office at least 3 days per week.
• Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
