What you will do

• Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team focused on platform and infrastructure development.
• Translate business strategies into actionable engineering plans, managing budget, staffing, and execution.
• Own the full lifecycle of critical production systems, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and uptime.
• Mentor and coach engineers to foster professional growth and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align engineering initiatives with institutional product goals.
• Make high-level strategic decisions regarding system architecture and organizational structure.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with significant leadership and people management track record.
• Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP), and platform engineering.
• Proven experience owning operational excellence and delivery in regulated or financial services environments.
• Strong ability to manage ambiguity, complex planning, and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Demonstrated success in coaching and building high-performing engineering organizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial ledger systems, custody infrastructure, or banking-as-a-service platforms.
• Background in cryptocurrency or digital assets industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks like SOC 2 or bank examinations.
