Engineering Manager (Fintech)

What you will do

• Lead and grow the Acquisition engineering squad, owning both technical delivery and team health.
• Write production code alongside the team, contributing meaningfully to both backend and web services.
• Architect and drive the technical direction for growth infrastructure, including funnels, referral systems, and SEO platforms.
• Manage team members through 1:1s, performance reviews, career development plans, and recruitment.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Design, and Data stakeholders to define priorities and deliver business outcomes.
• Champion a culture of experimentation, measurement, and iteration for all acquisition initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record as a senior engineer.
• 2+ years of experience managing engineers, including performance reviews and hiring.
• Strong backend expertise with Java and Spring Framework.
• Proficiency in frontend development, ideally with React and modern web frameworks.
• English proficiency (written and spoken) for documenting decisions and presenting trade-offs.
• Ability to balance hands-on technical execution with people management responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with React Native or cross-platform mobile development.
• Knowledge of growth and marketing tools such as Amplitude, CleverTap, or Adjust.
• Background in fintech, crypto, or high-growth tech companies.
• Experience with SEO technical requirements and web performance optimization.
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like Datadog or Splunk.
