Finance Director (AI)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; on-site five days per week

What you will do

• Own consolidated financial reporting across domestic and offshore entities and intercompany relationships.
• Design and implement financial infrastructure, including platform migrations, process redesign, and consolidation workflows.
• Build and maintain FP&A processes covering budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and dashboards.
• Lead monthly and quarterly close processes and supervise accounting operations.
• Advise the COO and CEO on resource allocation, investment decisions, and financial planning.
• Build financial automations using Google Apps Script, AI tools, and API integrations.

Requirements

• 6+ years of finance experience, including 2–3 years in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience building or rebuilding financial infrastructure, selecting platforms, redesigning processes, and managing consolidation workflows.
• Hands-on experience with QBO/Intuit, modern FP&A tools, and multi-entity consolidation.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance executives.
• Experience managing external tax advisors, auditors, insurance providers, and outsourced bookkeepers.
• Ability to work on-site in the Mountain View office five days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with transfer pricing, international tax, and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Startup or founder-led company experience.
• Experience managing or partnering with Big Four advisory firms.
