Managing Director of Fund Finance and Legal (AI)

Location: New York, hybrid with three days per week on site

Salary: $170,000–$225,000 annually, plus hirify.globalty and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Own the NAV cycle, reconciliations, close calendar, fund expense budgeting, allocation policies, and final investor-facing financial sign-off.
• Manage treasury, cash controls, wires, annual audits, tax cycles, regulatory positions, fund documents, side letters, and investor agreements.
• Lead the financial and legal architecture of new vehicles, including structuring, fee terms, governing documents, entity formation, registrations, account opening, and administrator onboarding.
• Partner with Fund Operations and oversee administrators, outsourced fund-operations providers, auditors, tax preparers, counsel, prime brokers, and banks.
• Build a single financial source of truth, documented procedures, and tools that reduce recurring manual work.

• 8–12 years of experience running or overseeing the financial operations of a fund complex.
• Deep knowledge of fund accounting, NAV cycles, multi-layered structures, controls, and fund operations.
• Experience working with fund counsel on launches, structuring, private placement memoranda, side letters, subscription agreements, and entity formation.
• Practical use of AI for drafting, reconciliation, analysis, or internal tools, plus technical range beyond Excel and ERP systems.
• Experience operating in a lean organization and managing external providers across fund administration, audit, tax, legal, banking, and prime brokerage.
• Strong judgment, precision, ownership, and ability to take problems through to completion.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-strategy and multi-vehicle structures, offshore vehicles, ERISA and plan-asset monitoring.
• Legal qualification or substantial experience working with fund counsel.
• CPA or hirify.globalvalent accounting depth.
