Head of FP&A and Strategic Finance

What you will do

• Build and develop the FP&A and Strategic Finance team, setting priorities, hiring talent, coaching leaders, and establishing operating standards.
• Own the integrated financial plan, including long-range and annual planning, driver-based forecasts, headcount, revenue, investments, and cash.
• Lead forecasts, monthly business reviews, and budget-owner conversations to turn analysis into accountable decisions.
• Partner with GTM and R&D leaders on pricing, unit economics, growth, infrastructure, and investment tradeoffs.
• Lead executive and Board reporting and support fundraising through projections, scenarios, diligence, and financial narratives.
• Improve planning systems and workflows, including Pigment, and apply AI to accelerate reliable analytical work.

Requirements

• Experience independently owning company-wide FP&A and Strategic Finance in a growing technology business.
• Strong expertise in driver-based forecasting, integrated financial statements, cash planning, scenario analysis, and financial modeling assumptions.
• Experience identifying important business problems, developing defensible recommendations, and influencing executives to act.
• Demonstrated experience hiring, developing, and leading a strong team from a lean starting point.
• Clear executive communication and experience preparing and defending recommendations for senior leadership and Boards.
• Applied AI fluency is required, including using AI in analytical work, validating outputs, improving workflows, and coaching others.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SaaS, complex customer contracts, significant financing, or public-company readiness.
• Experience with Pigment or a comparable planning platform.
• Background in an adjacent technology business with comparable operating complexity.
