Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; willingness to travel up to 30% for on-site implementations, technical workshops, and customer engagements.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting hirify.global with customer technology stacks and workflows.
• Build Knowledge Graph solutions and integrate SaaS and non-SaaS systems through APIs, webhooks, and real-time communication architectures.
• Improve AI agent performance using prompt engineering, semantic search, generative AI techniques, and evaluation frameworks.
• Write SQL queries, analyze data, and build dashboards that support customer decision-making.
• Create rapid proofs of concept, conduct live technical demonstrations, and iterate based on customer and stakeholder feedback.
• Collaborate with customers, engineering, product, customer success, support, and revenue teams, including guidance on advanced configurations and technical adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and evaluating agentic AI solutions.
• Deep experience with data synchronization, REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and event-driven or pub/sub architectures.
• Experience deploying on serverless and edge platforms such as AWS Lambda and Google Cloud Functions, with CI/CD, containers, and observability practices.
• Knowledge of data transformation, schema alignment, graph data structures, logging, telemetry, and Model Context Programming (MCP); strong written and verbal communication skills and a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
