TL;DR
AI Sales Engineer (Enterprise AI): Helping customers realize the value of enterprise AI through demonstrations, technical workshops, proof-of-concept engagements, and architectural guidance with an accent on large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, and AI workflow orchestration. Focus on designing customer AI solutions, building reusable demonstration assets, and supporting strategic opportunities across APJ.
Location: Hybrid in Tokyo, Japan

What you will do
- Serve as the regional AI specialist for Asia Pacific and Japan.
- Deliver enterprise AI demonstrations, technical workshops, proof-of-concept engagements, and architectural guidance.
- Partner with Enterprise and Growth sales teams on strategic AI-focused opportunities across APJ.
- Build reusable demonstrations, technical assets, enablement programs, and best-practice documentation.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide field feedback and influence AI roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, AI engineering, data engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Experience leading enterprise AI proof-of-concept engagements from design through delivery and business outcomes.
- Hands-on experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, and AI workflow orchestration.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including the ability to develop and present live customer demonstrations.
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, governance, performance optimization, and large-scale analytics platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to have
- Practical knowledge of AI Studio, vector databases, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Knowledge of competitive AI and data platforms such as Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Mosaic AI, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI Service, Cloudera, IBM, and open-source AI ecosystems.
- Experience with AI use cases in financial services, retail, manufacturing, supply chain, public sector, or government.
