What you will do

• Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams of 20-30+ personnel through the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with senior business and IT stakeholders to prioritize delivery, manage risks, and define project dependencies.
• Oversee internal and external development budgets of up to £2-3 million per annum.
• Champion agile best practices and drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) standards.
• Manage relationships with outsourced development partners and matrixed internal teams.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop in-house engineering talent to foster a high-performance culture.

Requirements

• Proven track record of delivering significant, large-scale technology initiatives.
• Experience leading internal and external development teams of at least 20 people.
• Strong expertise in Agile frameworks like SCRUM and SAFe.
• Deep understanding of software development cycles, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to translate business strategy into technical delivery objectives.
