What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers while acting as a hands-on contributor in the codebase.
- Drive architecture and design reviews to ensure maintainability, stability, and code quality across the department.
- Manage the team's maturity roadmap, including skill gap analysis and performance management.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business outcomes and roadmap deliverables.
- Optimize agile delivery frameworks like Scrum and Kanban to enhance team efficiency and focus.
- Act as a technical advocate in customer and partner engagements, bridging the gap between technical depth and commercial value.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading development or product teams (min 3 years).
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Experience working in a product-led SaaS environment.
- Ability to work from the London office 2 days per week.
- Willingness to travel regularly to the Ghent HQ.
- Deep understanding of the full product development lifecycle.
Nice to have
- Domain knowledge in accounting, audit, or tax software.
- Previous experience with Liquid.
- Proficiency in integrating AI-assisted tooling like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
