What you will do

• Establish technical direction and ensure high-quality software delivery at speed.
• Manage, mentor, and foster the professional growth of engineers across multiple teams.
• Collaborate with product architects and delivery managers to align engineering efforts with product requirements.
• Oversee the full lifecycle analysis, design, development, and testing of core payment software.
• Manage dependencies, resolve operational risks, and triage production issues to maintain product flow.
• Conduct interviews and technical auditions to scale the engineering team footprint.

Requirements

• Proven experience in engineering leadership, mentoring, and team management.
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and engineering best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Strong communication skills for reporting status and driving cross-team collaboration.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Belfast office.
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related technical field.
