Technical Operations Lead

TL;DR

Technical Operations Lead: Leading, coaching, and developing a team of analytic engineers and technical specialists with an accent on driving performance, ensuring delivery consistency, and managing team dynamics. Focus on facilitating Agile ceremonies, streamlining project planning using JIRA, and leveraging SQL expertise to maintain high technical and documentation standards.

Location: Must be based in the UK and be able to work from the Bristol, Glasgow, or London hub at least once a week.

Salary: £45,000–£50,000 (+ 15% target bonus and 9% Flex Pay).

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of analysts and technical specialists to foster continuous growth.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure robust documentation within JIRA and Confluence.
• Analyze team performance data to identify bottlenecks and optimize sprint velocity.
• Coordinate with the Operational Analytics Lead to align team deliverables with shifting business priorities.
• Implement corrective actions and improvement plans to address performance gaps.
• Enforce best practices in coding standards and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience in successfully leading and developing technical teams.
• Expertise in SQL, including writing, reviewing, and interpreting complex queries.
• Strong background in end-to-end project planning, milestone creation, and resource forecasting.
• Proficiency in JIRA for Agile management and reporting.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
