TL;DR

Head of Marketing & Communications (EdTech): Shaping and delivering the brand, market positioning, and go-to-market strategy for a regulated vocational awarding organization with an accent on driving qualification growth and market share. Focus on building an insight-led marketing function, ensuring regulatory compliance, and executing integrated campaigns across digital and traditional channels.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Sale, Greater Manchester, UK for regular office presence.

Salary: Circa £65,000

What you will do

  • Lead the development and execution of a reform-aligned marketing strategy to drive revenue and market share.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, data-driven marketing team with strong digital and campaign capabilities.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new qualifications, products, and regulatory changes.
  • Position the organization as a market leader through effective brand narrative and engagement with providers and employers.
  • Partner with commercial and product teams to align messaging, pricing, and customer journey design.
  • Monitor performance through KPIs, providing evidence-based reports to the Board on ROI and market impact.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work on-site in Sale, Greater Manchester, UK as part of an agile hybrid model.
  • Proven leadership experience within an awarding organization or a highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of the vocational education landscape and current sector reforms.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex data and drive evidence-based marketing decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Expertise in managing qualification lifecycles and Ofqual/CCEA regulatory requirements.

Nice to have

  • Experience with partnership marketing involving employers and training providers.
  • Strong proficiency in digital performance tools and customer intelligence systems.
