What you will do

• Lead project development for security panels, gateways, and video hardware, ensuring on-time releases.
• Develop, test, and debug embedded software within Linux and Android environments.
• Integrate embedded software from external partners securely into the core platform.
• Mentor team members and advocate for best practices in software architecture and design.
• Coordinate with quality, software, and product teams to validate device performance and system-level functionality.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline development and enhance team productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in embedded software development on Linux-based platforms.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with a focus on scalable, efficient software architecture.
• Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Commitment to working from the office 4 days per week in Tysons, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience with AOSP, Android NDK, and Android native application development.
• Deep knowledge of networking protocols including cellular, Wi-Fi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, or Matter.
• Background in penetration testing and ethical hacking.
