What you will do

• Act as the primary technical expert for pre-sales and post-sales customer engagement.
• Design and execute database migration strategies to PostgreSQL and Vitess.
• Perform workload assessments, capacity planning, and performance tuning for customer environments.
• Develop custom tools, scripts, and automation to streamline migration processes.
• Create high-quality technical documentation, blog posts, and workshops.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to advocate for customer requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on production experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience in customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI).
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or JavaScript for automation and tooling.
• Must be based in EMEA or North America regions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Vitess, sharding, or distributed database systems.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Background in Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
• History of public speaking or contributions to open-source communities.
