What you will do

• Define and drive the end-to-end AI roadmap from foundational research to applied innovation.
• Build and lead a world-class team of ML engineers and data scientists.
• Design and implement scalable AI infrastructure including data pipelines and training frameworks.
• Integrate LLMs, RAG systems, and multimodal models into practical enterprise products.
• Transform research prototypes into production-grade features in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
• Represent the organization externally at industry conferences and with strategic partners.

Requirements

• Must have 8+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML research and deployment.
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science or related field.
• Must be based in or able to work from Southern California.
• Deep expertise in LLMs, multimodal systems, RAG, and AI agents.
• Proven track record of building AI systems from concept to production.
• Strong command of MLOps and LLMOps lifecycle management.

Nice to have

• Background in industrial automation, robotics, or enterprise SaaS.
• Active contributions to open-source AI projects or published research.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Ray.
• Knowledge of AI safety, governance, and compliance frameworks.
