What you will do
- Define and maintain visual direction for project environments alongside the Art Director.
- Create environment assets utilizing procedural and hand-crafted texturing techniques within a PBR workflow.
- Interpret photo references and concept art to deliver assets that meet design intent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely asset delivery and project goal alignment.
- Maintain visual quality and performance standards through consistent asset creation.
- Adapt to varying visual styles based on client and project requirements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
- Solid understanding of PBR workflows and real-time asset creation.
- Experience with real-time engines such as Unreal or Unity.
- Strong grasp of modular workflows, trim sheets, and asset reuse.
- Familiarity with shaders, materials, and real-time lighting.
- Foundational art skills including form, composition, proportion, and color.
Nice to have
- Experience in outsourcing or co-development environments.
- Understanding of technical art constraints and optimization.
- Experience creating custom materials or working with shader graphs.
