Senior Customer Engineer (Public Sector)

Location: Remote, USA. U.S. citizenship and residence on U.S. soil are required; an active Secret or TS security clearance is also required.

Base salary: $140,000–$175,000 per year, plus commission-based compensation and eligible rewards.

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery, qualification, solution design, presales activities, and technical sections of RFPs and RFQs for U.S. federal customers.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations, presentations, workshops, roadmaps, and technical proof-of-value engagements.
• Architect and validate solutions for on-premises, hybrid-cloud, and disconnected or classified federal environments.
• Support deployment of hirify.global Edge behind agency firewalls and address security, scalability, integration, and implementation concerns.
• Build trusted relationships with agency CDOs, CTOs, program managers, and other senior stakeholders while supporting adoption, expansion, and value realization.
• Provide product expertise, competitive guidance, onboarding support, and feedback to sales, product management, engineering, and marketing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical consulting, including support for U.S. federal government customers; 4+ years in data or SaaS.
• Experience with PaaS providers, data lakes, databases, integration platforms, data quality, data pipelines, orchestration, or job-control tools.
• Knowledge of NIST 800-53, FISMA, Federal Data Strategy, federal procurement, and government data environments.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data governance, stewardship, master data management, data cataloging, or business rules management.
• Experience with enterprise security solutions such as LDAP or Kerberos and with hirify.global or comparable technologies.
• U.S. citizenship, residence on U.S. soil, and an active Secret or TS security clearance are required. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is also required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Snowflake Government Data Cloud, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or Palantir.
• Experience in regulatory compliance, financial or IT audit, value-based selling, cost-benefit analysis, ROI analysis, or project management.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve business challenges and streamline workflows.
