Global Indirect Tax Automation Senior Associate (Tax Technology)

TL;DR

Global Indirect Tax Automation Senior Associate (Tax Technology): Implementing and building third-party tax systems with major ERP and billing platforms for clients across various industries with an accent on requirements gathering, design, build, and testing implementation. Focus on system integration projects involving SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and custom software development.

Location: Consistent with the firm's hybrid work model, this position will require in-person attendance at least three days per week, either at a GT office or client site in Dallas, TX, United States.

What you will do

• Work on assigned third-party tax software implementations (Vertex, Avalara, Sovos, Thomson Reuters) and custom software development projects.
• Manage assigned system integration projects that involve major ERP and billing systems, such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, etc.
• Perform requirements analysis and design for indirect tax software implementations.
• Manage programming for custom system interfaces and modification of preexisting interfaces.
• Manage testing and support of assigned system go-live projects.
• Develop and deliver key project documentation including requirements documents, design documents, and test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related technical field.
• Three-Five years of experience with SAP/Oracle functional and/or technical experience.
• Two years of Oracle EBS/ERP Cloud/SAP ABAP Design and Development experience.
• Deep technical understanding of SAP or Oracle, including customization paths, table structures, and core functional Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay streams.
• Strong computer skills required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

• SAP Namespace development.
• Experience writing documentation for ERP implementations.
• Experience managing and developing team members for these types of implementations.
• Experience in public accounting.
