Salary: $135,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do
- Review, draft, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) for global customers.
- Conduct privacy-focused vendor onboarding, risk assessments, and sub-processor governance.
- Identify and assess data protection risks while developing scalable mitigation strategies.
- Streamline legal workflows through process optimization and the responsible implementation of AI-driven automation.
- Partner with Commercial Legal and Sales teams to ensure efficient deal closure in compliance with global frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance registers of processing activities (RoPA) and ensure adherence to GDPR and other privacy obligations.
Requirements
- Law degree and qualification to practice in at least one jurisdiction (EU or US preferred).
- 5-10 years of experience in data protection law within a law firm or in-house environment.
- Proven expertise in reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements.
- Deep understanding of GDPR, international transfer mechanisms, and global privacy frameworks.
- Technical curiosity for SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and AI-enabled legal technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- CIPP/E, CIPP/US, or equivalent professional certifications.
- Experience working within cybersecurity, SaaS, or AI-focused organizations.
- Exposure to AI governance frameworks and distributed global team environments.
- Proficiency in additional languages such as German, French, Spanish, or Japanese.
