What you will do
- Drive global privacy strategy and AI roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and trust commitments.
- Lead EU AI Act readiness, including system classification, risk management, and transparency obligations.
- Advise on privacy-by-design and responsible AI, performing DPIAs, PIAs, and AI impact assessments for new product features.
- Negotiate high-impact privacy and AI-related contractual terms, including DPAs and SCCs, with customers and vendors.
- Define data governance requirements, including data sourcing, retention, deletion, and access controls.
- Co-lead incident response for privacy or AI-related events and engage with regulators and auditors as required.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent law degree with 7+ years of experience in EU data regulation.
- Proven expertise in operationalizing AI governance and EU AI Act compliance.
- Deep knowledge of EU data protection regimes including DPIAs, TIAs, ROPAs, and DSARs.
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable playbooks and processes in a high-growth environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Must be able to work independently across time zones with a focus on asynchronous collaboration.
Nice to have
- Experience with HR, payroll, or global EOR contexts.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows and specialized privacy/CLM tools.
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or AIGP.
- Prior experience with SOC2 or ISO frameworks.
