What you will do

• Partner with design, engineering, and research teams to provide strategic risk-mitigation advice on privacy, data security, safety, and copyright.
• Develop and operate a comprehensive global privacy and data protection compliance program.
• Build efficient legal and operational infrastructure to manage risk at scale.
• Monitor and translate emerging legal developments in the AI sector into actionable business advice.
• Support urgent, cross-functional company initiatives outside of core legal expertise.

Requirements

• 6+ years of legal practice experience, preferably in-house at a high-growth tech company with AI-powered products.
• J.D. degree and active membership in at least one state bar with eligibility to practice in-house in California.
• Deep expertise in state and international privacy, data protection, and online safety laws.
• Working knowledge of copyright, secondary liability, and consumer protection laws applied to digital platforms.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate complex legal concepts in a business-friendly manner.
