What you will do

• Partner with the Director to translate creative vision into actionable feedback for cross-functional teams.
• Ensure continuity in storytelling, pacing, camera work, and character acting.
• Take creative ownership of assigned episodes or sequences from animatic to final render.
• Conduct daily creative reviews (dailies) and approve shot-level work to ensure style consistency.
• Identify creative bottlenecks and production risks early to propose effective solutions.
• Mentor artists and foster a collaborative, ego-free environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of creative leadership experience in episodic animation or feature film.
• Legally eligible to work in British Columbia, Canada.
• Deep understanding of visual storytelling, camera composition, and character acting.
• Strong grasp of the full CG animation pipeline.
• Proven ability to manage production workflows and make decisive creative compromises.
• Experience using ShotGrid for project tracking and shot reviews.

Nice to have

• Experience with hybrid 2D/CG aesthetics.
• Hands-on experience with Maya.
