What you will do
- Exceed assigned order and revenue quotas for smart grid solutions within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to grow market presence and customer count.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and utility boards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external channel partners to prospect, qualify, and close new business.
- Manage the full sales pipeline in Salesforce and participate in RFI/RFP processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and utility association events to identify new opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering required.
- 10+ years of experience selling complex, long-cycle, RFP-based solutions.
- Must reside in the Southeast US.
- Strong relationship network within the utility industry (IOUs, Municipalities, Cooperative power companies).
- Demonstrated success in strategic sales initiatives and closing high-value deals.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, specifically Salesforce.
Nice to have
- Industry experience with AMR/AMI, renewables, or other smart grid applications.
- Previous experience working with Generation and Transmission groups or Joint Action Agencies.
