TL;DR

What you will do

  • Exceed assigned order and revenue quotas for smart grid solutions within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to grow market presence and customer count.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives and utility boards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external channel partners to prospect, qualify, and close new business.
  • Manage the full sales pipeline in Salesforce and participate in RFI/RFP processes.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and utility association events to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering required.
  • 10+ years of experience selling complex, long-cycle, RFP-based solutions.
  • Must reside in the Southeast US.
  • Strong relationship network within the utility industry (IOUs, Municipalities, Cooperative power companies).
  • Demonstrated success in strategic sales initiatives and closing high-value deals.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, specifically Salesforce.

Nice to have

  • Industry experience with AMR/AMI, renewables, or other smart grid applications.
  • Previous experience working with Generation and Transmission groups or Joint Action Agencies.
