Systems Engineer (Networking)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Implement, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot client desktop, server, networking, backup, and cloud connectivity solutions.
• Resolve second-level service desk escalations across MacOS and Windows environments, including hardware, software, security, and endpoint issues.
• Support client implementations, technical projects, onsite service visits when required, and escalated outage situations.
• Maintain accurate tickets, operational procedures, network documentation, status reports, calendars, and billable time records.
• Coordinate with service coordination, project management, vendors, and peers while providing situational updates for high-profile clients and projects.
• Track service KPIs including resolution time, customer satisfaction, utilization, and SLA adherence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an MSP, service desk, corporate IT, or technical consulting environment supporting small and mid-size clients.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience with strong troubleshooting, multitasking, communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Apple hardware, MacOS, Google Workspace, Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, and JAMF.
• Experience administering Windows workstation and server security, sharing, patching, and group policies in domain environments.
• Experience with advanced networking, cloud storage, remote connectivity, EDR remediation, backup solutions, and RMM platforms such as ConnectWise Automate.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States, participate in on-call coverage, and work after hours when required.

Nice to have

• Current Microsoft certifications such as MCSE or MCSA.
• Current CCNA certification or extensive knowledge of the OSI model.
• Certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, JAMF, SonicWall, Fortinet, or CompTIA.
• A four-year college degree or equivalent relevant technical experience.
