TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Fintech): Leading cross-team projects and driving them to production with an accent on technical debt management and incident handling. Focus on building cross-team collaboration, fostering a results-oriented culture, and optimizing processes to improve productivity.

Location: Remote/Kazakhstan. Relocation support is available to hubs in Armenia, Georgia, Serbia, Portugal, and Spain.

What you will do

  • Lead large cross-team projects and drive them to production.
  • Contribute to quarterly planning and roadmap definition.
  • Review feature designs and ensure non-functional requirements are met.
  • Oversee technical debt management and incident handling.
  • Build cross-team and cross-functional collaboration to increase efficiency.
  • Optimize processes to improve productivity.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with strong fundamentals in building reliable, scalable systems (Go experience is a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, ideally in a fast-paced fintech or e-commerce environment.
  • Experience building scalable, distributed systems and working with high-load architectures.
  • Solid understanding of backend tools and technologies — PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, GitLab, and a microservices architecture.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs and contributing to product development.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
