Senior Software Engineer Manager (Ecosystems)

Senior Software Engineer Manager (Ecosystems): Building and leading engineering teams to develop scalable and reliable features for hirify.global's ecosystem platform with an accent on developer success, extensibility, and integration frameworks. Focus on defining technical strategy, managing complex projects, and fostering collaboration to deliver high-quality, customer-focused features.

Location: Must be based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year.

Salary: $260,000 to $300,000

What you will do

• Hire, manage, mentor, and coach engineering teams, fostering a culture of respect, integrity, and inclusion.
• Facilitate the technical design and execution of complex features for hirify.global’s ecosystem platform.
• Partner with leaders at strategic companies to define high-value product offerings.
• Own the engineering roadmap for Ecosystem, balancing short-term delivery with long-term investments.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of Ecosystem products by driving operational best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer, with 5+ years in an engineering management or leadership role.
• Experience building and launching ecosystem features, platform extensibility, developer tooling, and/or products for external technical audiences.
• Proven experience leading teams in fast-paced, agile environments.
• Strong background in backend or frontend development (experience with React, Java a plus).
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor engineers.
• Experience managing the full software development lifecycle.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with API development, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Prior experience working in a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
• A passion for building systems that prioritize scalability, performance, and operational excellence.
