Senior Software Engineer Manager - Ecosystems & Integration (API)

Location: Cupertino or San Francisco, California, United States; in-office five days a week.

Salary: $260,000–$300,000 base annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Hire, manage, mentor, and coach several engineering teams while setting goals and maintaining an inclusive culture of ownership and accountability.
• Define the technical strategy for ecosystem extensibility, integration frameworks, public APIs, partner apps, and marketplaces.
• Lead the design and delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-performance ecosystem features for developers, partners, and customers.
• Own the Ecosystem engineering roadmap across developer tooling, strategic integrations, and marketplace initiatives.
• Coordinate complex projects, establish milestones, remove delivery roadblocks, and balance short-term execution with long-term investments.
• Drive operational excellence through monitoring, logging, incident response, testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering management or leadership.
• Experience launching 0-to-1 ecosystem features, platform extensibility, UI components, frameworks, APIs, developer tooling, or products for external technical audiences.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced, agile environments and managing the full software development lifecycle through production support.
• Strong backend or frontend development background; React or Java experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor engineers and collaborate effectively with product, design, engineering, and leadership stakeholders.
• Must work from the San Francisco Bay Area hub and be in the office five days per week.

Nice to have

• API development experience.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Azure, or Kubernetes.
• Experience in SaaS or cloud-based environments.
• Experience building systems focused on scalability, performance, and operational excellence.
