What you will do
- Shape the technical and product direction for a collective of 30–70+ engineers.
- Lead hands-on coding and architectural design for highly complex, distributed systems.
- Partner with Product and Design leadership to define strategy and roadmap trade-offs.
- Mobilize teams to ensure alignment, momentum, and system sustainability.
- Mentor and develop senior engineers and future technical leaders.
- Set and uphold high standards for technical excellence, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading complex, high-impact systems across multiple teams.
- Must have the right to work in the UK or be eligible for visa sponsorship (relocation available).
- Strong technical judgment combined with deep product and business awareness.
- Experience in building scalable backend, distributed, or data-intensive systems.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces and influence senior stakeholders.
