What you will do

• Shape the technical and product direction for a collective of 30–70+ engineers.
• Lead hands-on coding and architectural design for highly complex, distributed systems.
• Partner with Product and Design leadership to define strategy and roadmap trade-offs.
• Mobilize teams to ensure alignment, momentum, and system sustainability.
• Mentor and develop senior engineers and future technical leaders.
• Set and uphold high standards for technical excellence, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading complex, high-impact systems across multiple teams.
• Must have the right to work in the UK or be eligible for visa sponsorship (relocation available).
• Strong technical judgment combined with deep product and business awareness.
• Experience in building scalable backend, distributed, or data-intensive systems.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces and influence senior stakeholders.
