What you will do

  • Advise managers and People Business Partners on employee relations topics, including investigations, performance management, and workplace conflicts.
  • Manage complex ER cases across the Americas, ensuring issues are handled with consistency and alignment to local laws and internal policies.
  • Educate and support line managers on effective people leadership, helping them address performance and culture issues proactively.
  • Partner with Legal to manage employment risk and support litigation matters.
  • Monitor evolving employment legislation across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM markets, updating policies and practices accordingly.
  • Analyze ER case trends to develop actionable insights that improve the employee experience.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in employee relations, HR, or employment law within a global organization.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex ER issues across the Americas, with a strong understanding of U.S. employment law; experience in LATAM is a plus.
  • Experience advising and coaching business leaders on sensitive people matters.
  • Strong judgment and a pragmatic, business-minded approach to ER challenges.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • High integrity and discretion when handling confidential matters.

Nice to have

  • Experience launching or helping build a new ER function or COE.
  • Experience delivering training and enablement for managers on ER-related topics.
  • Background working in a global, matrixed tech or SaaS organization.
  • HR or employment law certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR).
