What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership for design research to align with hardware and product priorities.
• Scale early-stage research initiatives by identifying opportunities and setting rigorous methodological standards.
• Partner with program management to prioritize research needs and guide direction.
• Manage, coach, and develop a team of senior researchers to foster craft and career growth.
• Contribute as a hands-on individual contributor on complex, high-impact research initiatives.
• Oversee external vendor relationships, including project scoping and execution oversight.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human factors, design research, psychology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in user research for physical products, hardware, or consumer health environments.
• 2+ years of formal people management experience.
• Proven background in mixed-methods research (qualitative and quantitative).
• Experience working within hardware development lifecycles.
• Strong commitment to leveraging AI tools in daily research workflows.
