What you will do

• Evolve foundational systems including Enterprise APIs, authentication, and account management.
• Design and maintain backend services that support external integrations and enterprise use cases.
• Collaborate with design and analytics teams to translate product requirements into technical solutions.
• Influence system architecture and implement standards for the platform.
• Develop observability and monitoring practices to ensure production stability.
• Mentor team members and establish engineering foundations.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Must be able to work on-site in the Boston, MA office.
• Proficiency in backend development, specifically with Java.
• Experience designing production RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of cloud-based service operation (AWS).
• Ability to work across the stack, including contributions to React-based applications.
