Senior Software Engineer (Java)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin): Designing and implementing scalable new solutions and product improvements for an IT Operations product suite with an accent on high-availability mission critical software systems. Focus on solving large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design, and ensuring system reliability across millions of endpoints.

Location: Must be based in the USA and reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, WA. Not eligible for Visa sponsorship. Not hiring within the city limits of Chicago.

Salary: $150,000 – $220,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop large-scale software applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Design and implement scalable solutions and product improvements for the IT Operations suite.
• Apply advanced design patterns to solve enterprise-level software challenges.
• Ensure high quality and optimization of code for mission-critical services.
• Build software capable of running on millions of endpoints.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications.
• 4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems.
• Proficiency in OOP design principles and scaling data structures.
• Knowledge of REST service development (Spring, Jersey) and relational database design.
• Must be based in the USA (specific states) and have valid work authorization without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Solid expertise in Kotlin.
• Experience with caching systems and Redis.
