What you will do

• Architect, develop, and maintain critical backend services and internal business APIs.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines and automated workflows.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, mentorship, and implementation of engineering best practices.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance of backend systems at scale.
• Define long-term technical strategy for internal business systems and identify automation opportunities.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to Boston, MA.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in a modern language like Java, Python, or Go.
• Experience designing APIs, integrations, and working with relational databases.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and mentor junior engineers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with distributed systems architecture.
