What you will do

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to define and deliver technical infrastructure.
• Develop scalable, reliable backend solutions using Java and PostgreSQL.
• Implement and manage asynchronous processing systems using Kafka and SQS.
• Build and maintain observability and monitoring systems to ensure high feature reliability.
• Adhere to best practices in software design, API development, and system performance optimization.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java or similar backend languages.
• Solid experience with RESTful API design and relational database development.
• Familiarity with asynchronous messaging systems like Kafka or SQS.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and data-informed environment.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Boston, MA for onsite work.
