What you will do

• Design and implement features for REST APIs, microservices, and distributed task processing systems.
• Write scalable, performant, and secure code that can be shared across platforms.
• Contribute to core backend systems by suggesting and executing architectural improvements.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, processes, and security protocols.
• Practice test-driven development and debug production issues across multiple levels of the stack.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure prompt resolution of critical technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience building web applications and scalable backend APIs.
• Experience or a strong interest in writing applications in Node.js.
• Experience implementing highly-available distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience working with relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Strong belief in high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
