TL;DR

Payroll Implementation Specialist (SaaS/Fintech): Managing end-to-end payroll onboarding and activation for new and expansion customers with an accent on project planning, stakeholder coordination, and system configuration. Location: Hybrid role, must be based in or near Bloomington, MN, with office attendance required 3 days/week (Tue-Thu).

Salary: $75,000 - $80,000

What you will do

  • Lead end-to-end payroll implementation projects as the accountable delivery owner from kickoff to go-live.
  • Define implementation plans, track milestones, and manage project sequencing to ensure operational readiness.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions to translate business needs into system configuration strategies.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities with third-party partners and cross-functional teams to resolve dependencies.
  • Manage customer expectations, mitigate delivery risks, and serve as the primary escalation point for implementation challenges.
  • Analyze performance trends to optimize implementation methodologies and improve activation cycle times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in implementation, project management, or payroll services.
  • Proven ability to lead complex customer implementations in a SaaS or technology-enabled service environment.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive customer adoption.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to commute to the Bloomington office.

  • Direct experience with payroll platforms or financial operations technology.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and implementation innovation.
