TL;DR
Manager, Account Executive (AI): Building and leading a founding mid-market sales team for an AI-native automation platform with an accent on hiring, coaching, and scaling high-performing AEs. Focus on defining commercial motions, refining sales playbooks, and closing complex, multi-stakeholder IT and Security deals while maintaining a personal book of business.
Location: Must be based in or able to work from San Francisco, CA (On-site 5 days a week)
Compensation: $250K OTE (On-Target Earnings) plus equity and commission.

What you will do
- Build and scale the mid-market AE team from the ground up, including hiring and team structure definition.
- Coach and develop the team on deal strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Maintain a personal book of business to close strategic deals and model best practices.
- Develop and refine mid-market sales playbooks, including outbound motions and qualification frameworks.
- Partner with GTM leadership on ICP definition, territory assignment, and pricing strategy.
- Implement rigorous sales processes and CRM discipline to ensure accurate forecasting and sales velocity.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of B2B SaaS sales experience with at least 2 years in management.
- Proven track record of building and scaling sales teams at early-stage companies (Seed to Series B).
- Deep understanding of full-cycle sales targeting IT, Security, or Engineering buyers.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco 5 days a week.
- Demonstrated success in coaching complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Excellent communication and leadership presence.
Nice to have
- Experience in high-velocity SaaS companies like Verkada, Rippling, or ServiceNow.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies like MEDDIC or MEDDPICC.
- Comfort with technical demos and automation platforms.
