What you will do

• Contribute to the storage, indexing, and query execution performance of the core system.
• Expand and evolve the custom btql query language.
• Optimize query patterns to ensure platform-wide performance at enterprise scale.
• Collaborate with the founding team on foundational system architecture and technology choices.
• Build and maintain high-performance data processing pipelines for unstructured AI data.

Requirements

• Expert-level understanding of systems programming (C++ or Rust).
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, databases, and operating systems.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing performant data storage and query systems.
• Interest in applying systems expertise to the AI field.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco or Seattle.

Nice to have

• Previous experience founding or working at early-stage startups.
• Experience writing prompts or building applications using GPT models.
