What you will do

• Design and oversee internal financial controls, ensuring GAAP compliance and SOX readiness.
• Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting, providing deep-dive analysis on R&D spend and tape-out costs.
• Manage fabless supply chain finance, including inventory valuation and gross margin modeling.
• Partner with the executive team to lead technical accounting for potential public offering and future funding rounds.
• Manage global cash flow, tax strategies, R&D tax credits, and international transfer pricing.
• Advise department heads on P&L management and ROI for hardware development.

Requirements

• 15+ years of finance leadership experience, specifically within a fabless semiconductor environment.
• Deep mastery of US GAAP, revenue recognition for hardware/software licensing, and R&D capitalization.
• Proven track record of scaling a finance function from Series B through commercialization.
• Expert-level financial modeling skills for silicon production cycles.
• Experience implementing or migrating to robust ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience navigating an IPO as a Controller or Director of Finance.
• Familiarity with automotive industry financial implications, including Tier-1/OEM revenue cycles.
• Big 4 audit process leadership experience.
